#FoilFriday

#FoilFriday is a brand new, FREE  social media campaign for UK local authorities, which aims to simplify aluminium foil recycling for consumers. The new resources are designed to link to key awareness events and themes such as the Women’s World Cup and BBQ Week and are designed to be posted on your social channels every Friday. There are social graphics, animations, fact sheets, and suggested post copy all aimed at making the campaign as easy to use as possible. The resources will be provided in three phases from summer 2023 right through until the end of the year.   The campaign resources are completely free however, we do ask that you use our hashtag #FoilFriday when you use any of the materials to ensure that we can track the progress of the campaign.

Benefits of using the #FoilFriday campaign

  • A free communications campaign designed to support the UK’s current kerbside recycling schemes. It provides free campaign resources that allow council’s to run a social media campaign to highlight the recyclability of aluminium foil to their residents.
  • Available to all UK local authorities. Any council can take part, all we ask is that you post the resources on a Friday each week using the hashtag #FoilFriday so that we can track the progress of the campaign.
  • Easy to implement using our toolkit which covers everything from social graphics and animations, to suggested post copy and fact sheets. The programme is managed by Alupro and funded by the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA).
