Every Can Counts returns to Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour

This year’s Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour will again be supported by drinks can recycling programme Every Can Counts. The campaign is designed to engage consumers and boost recycling rates among consumers across Great Britain.

Brand ambassadors from Every Can Counts will meet members of the public to discuss recycling as they claim free samples of Coca-Cola product available at the Christmas truck tour stops. They will be dispensing handy recycling facts to visitors, as well as posing fun quiz questions on the topic. In return visitors will receive a free gift, including recycling bags and recycling wheels which give more information on which materials can and can’t be recycled at home.

Eleven stops of the Christmas truck tour will include the recycling initiative, covering locations across the country. There will also be a choir and photo experience alongside sampling of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero and, being sampled for the first time on the tour, Coca-Cola Life.

Every Can Counts is a partnership between drink can manufacturers and the recycling industry which aims to encourage the public to recycle more, whether at work, at home, on the go or at an event.

Giustina Diana, Recycling Manager, Coca-Cola Enterprises GB, said: “Recycling can sometimes be a confusing topic, so we hope that by discussing it with consumers in a fun and memorable way they will pick up more tips on how they can improve their own recycling habits.

“The Coca-Cola truck tour is one of the most iconic and festive experiences in the run up to Christmas, making it the ideal setting to reach a broad audience with our recycling initiative with Every Can Counts. We hope that offering useful advice and fun recycling themed gifts will provide a memorable moment for visitors and they will go home with this fresh in their minds, helping to boost recycling habits over Christmas and beyond.”

Rick Hindley, Executive Director, Every Can Counts added: “The Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour is an iconic event that attracts huge numbers of people and we’re pleased to be working with them to help spread the message of the importance of recycling drinks cans on-the-go.

“Drinks cans are endlessly recyclable. After they’ve been collected they can be recycled into new cans in just 60 days.

“We are currently working with over 2,200 businesses and organisations across the UK to encourage out of the home drinks can recycling, and our partnership with Coca Cola Enterprises is one of our most high profile to date.”

Every Can Counts will be present at eleven stops of the Christmas truck tour in December, including:
